The Laboratory of Physical Chemistry of Membrane Processes of A.V. Topchiev Institute of Petrochemical Synthesis RAS was found in 1994.

Acting head of the laboratory is Maxim G. Shalygin

The laboratory is the member of TIPS Membrane Center. The basic directions of fundamental and applied aspects of investigations include the selective gas- and vapor separation, active membrane systems and membrane contactors, membrane catalysis etc.

The laboratory collaborates with educational and scientific centers in Russia and abroad (France, Germany, the Netherlands, etc).
